Cypress is a coniferous tree that can be found in the Southeastern States in the US. It contains Cypressene, a natural oil that is known to repel insects, and resist rotting. Because cypress mostly grows in swampy areas close to the Gulf, it is less susceptible to damage from moisture. Cypress is more durable than most woods, making it a great choice for a fence.
